The mix itself is a very dark, Oreo-colored powder that comes in a little jar. To make it, I just heat up a cup of milk and stir in about 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of the mix. You can also froth it, which makes it feel a little extra special. A small jar goes a surprisingly long way.

Using Selefina spice and herb blends definitely makes it easier. Selefina is made specifically for me. Someone who wants to be in the kitchen but isn't the authority on flavoring. Someone who can do things, but isn't a professional. Someone who likes creativity and flavor, but is hesitant to create her own blends for fear of messing up flavor profiles. If that sounds like you, then Selefina has spices and herbs for you too.

Selefina Recipe Advent Box Set If you like to experiment with new recipes in the kitchen, this Advent calendar is perfect for you. Selefina is an online spice shop with an impressive selection of global spices, herbs, and 50¢ try-me samples, brought to you by the sourcing and fulfillment infrastructure of Adagio Teas. Adagio Teas brings almost three decades of direct-from-origin experience to Selefina to provide single-origin spices, custom blends, and trial-size samples for those who want to taste-test or blend their own mixes.

No kitchen would be complete without spices — but assessing their quality before you buy them can be tricky, though it no longer has to be. Chowhound spoke exclusively with Victoria Thorburn (owner and herbalist at Sprig Herbals) and Kristina Zito (CEO and creative director for Selefina, an online premium spice shop) to learn how to properly discern low quality from ones that will actually deliver. But here's something to remember: There's no single factor that could tell you the quality, but it pays to know where to start looking.

You’ll see plenty of pumpkin spice-flavored products making a comeback from previous years. (If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, you know?) But you’ll find plenty of new pumpkin spice products for 2026, too. So, if there’s no such thing as too much pumpkin for you come fall, this list has got you covered! Selefina Fall Forward Spice Pack If you’ve always wanted to customize your own pumpkin spice blend, now is your chance! This spice pack includes everything you need to play around: four refill pouches of ground cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and ginger, plus six samples of ground cloves, cardamom, and mace.

Pumpkin spice isn't a flavor anymore—it's a season, a marketing calendar, and one of the most reliable demand spikes in the food and beverage industry. Every fall, operators and retailers race to claim their slice of it. This year, Selefina Spices is placing a different bet: instead of selling the finished blend, it's selling the toolkit. Selefina and sister brand Adagio Teas marked the return of pumpkin spice season with a lineup that spans convenience and customization—from a ready-made classic to a build-your-own spice kit and two seasonal teas.

Trader Joe's iconic Everything but the Bagel Seasoning Blend uses flaky sea salt, and your local bagel shop probably does, too. To nail that same textural complexity at home, try using Maldon salt flakes, or for an added boost of flavor, Maldon also makes smoked sea salt flakes, which would work especially well for seasoning a lox bagel. For a subtler taste, you could use these French Fleur De Sel sea salt flakes from Selefina.

“Shoppers traditionally associate Advent calendars with sweet treats, and there are still certainly plenty of those, but we’re seeing the emergence of calendars across virtually all food categories, including Fly By Jing’s chili sauces, Selefina’s Spice Advent Sampler, and The Caviar Co.’s extravagant 12 Days of Caviar.”
